Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry addresses attendees at the Louisiana Nuclear Strategy & Supply Chain Summit in New Orleans held April 27-29, 2026.

Aurora is energized by the momentum coming out of last week’s Louisiana Nuclear Strategy & Supply Chain Summit in New Orleans, where leaders from across industry, government, utilities, and economic development organizations gathered to discuss the future of nuclear energy in Louisiana.

President and Owner Lori LeBlanc attended the summit on behalf of COLAB, joining conversations focused on how Louisiana can strengthen its position across the nuclear value chain and compete for future investment and project development.

Summit discussions reinforced that Louisiana is well-positioned to compete in the growing nuclear sector, thanks to its industrial strength, skilled workforce, port infrastructure, utilities, and experience delivering large-scale energy projects. As demand for reliable power continues to rise, participants emphasized that long-term success will also depend on regulatory clarity, utility readiness, access to capital, and strong coordination across state and federal partners.

Just as important is the need for proactive stakeholder engagement.

As Louisiana explores new opportunities in nuclear energy, meaningful engagement with communities, local leaders, workforce partners, and industry stakeholders will be essential to building trust and aligning priorities. Long-term success will require thoughtful communication, transparency, and collaboration from the earliest stages of project planning through implementation.

For the Bayou Region, these conversations also represent a meaningful opportunity. With a strong industrial base, skilled workforce, and deep expertise supporting the energy sector, the region is well-positioned to contribute to Louisiana’s evolving energy future.

At Aurora, we believe strong stakeholder engagement is foundational to successful economic and energy development. We are proud to be part of these conversations and look forward to continuing to support partners across Louisiana as the state works to shape the next generation of energy opportunity.
